3. Booking and Formation of Contract

A booking request does not become a confirmed package travel contract until Leir has accepted the booking and issued a written booking confirmation.

The person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to make the booking on behalf of all travellers included in it and accepts these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.

The name entered on the booking must correspond with the traveller’s travel documentation. Errors in names or passenger details may result in airline or supplier charges.

Once the booking has been confirmed, the traveller is responsible for payment in accordance with the payment schedule.

4. Payment

A deposit of €250 per person is required before 30 October 2026 unless a different amount is stated on the booking confirmation.

For this departure, the balance is due no later than 12 November 2026, unless otherwise stated in writing by Leir.

Bookings made after the balance due date may require payment of the full outstanding package price at the time of booking.

If payment is not received when due, Leir may cancel the booking after giving reasonable notice. Any cancellation charges applicable will be dealt with in accordance with Section 10 of these Terms.

Leir will not issue travel documents or final travel information until all amounts due have been paid, unless otherwise agreed.

5. Package Price

The advertised package price is €995 per person sharing a twin/double room.

The price includes only those services and items expressly listed as included in the package.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the package price does not include:

Lunches;
Drinks with meals;
Personal purchases and expenditure;
Optional activities not included in the itinerary;
Additional baggage or airline services not included in the booked fare;
Cancellation or medical insurance
Any personal costs arising from a traveller’s failure to comply with the itinerary or travel requirements.

Price changes

Once a package travel contract has been concluded, Leir may only increase the package price where this possibility has been expressly provided for in the contract and the increase arises from permitted changes in relevant costs, such as passenger transport costs resulting from fuel or energy prices, certain taxes/fees, or applicable exchange-rate movements.

Any permitted price increase will be calculated and notified in accordance with Irish package-travel law.

A price increase of more than 8% of the total package price gives the traveller the statutory right to terminate the contract without a termination fee.

Where applicable, travellers are also entitled to a corresponding price reduction where relevant underlying costs decrease, subject to any permitted administrative expenses.

6. Flights

The planned flights for this package are:

Thursday 26 November 2026

Flight times, flight numbers, aircraft, baggage allowances, seating arrangements and operating carriers will be confirmed in the final travel documentation and remain subject to airline operational changes.

Leir is responsible for the proper performance of the package in accordance with package-travel legislation. This does not remove or replace any separate statutory rights that travellers may have against the airline under applicable air-passenger legislation.

Travellers must comply with airline check-in requirements, baggage conditions and instructions provided by Leir and/or the airline.

7. Accommodation

Subject to availability and confirmation:

Hotel in Vigo – a centrally located hotel suitable for the group.

The exact accommodation property, room type, facilities and applicable terms will be stated in the booking confirmation.

Where a proposed change is significant, travellers will be informed of their rights in accordance with applicable package-travel law.

9. Spanish Language Experience (Optional)

The package includes an informal Spanish-language element designed to enhance the travel experience.

This may include a short pre-trip introduction, useful Spanish phrases, food and restaurant vocabulary, simple activities while in Spain and opportunities to use Spanish during the trip.

The Spanish element is an experiential activity and does not constitute a formal accredited language course unless expressly stated otherwise.

10. Cancellation by the Traveller

A traveller may cancel the package at any time before departure.

Where a traveller cancels for personal reasons or simply changes their mind, Leir may charge an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.

For this package, the following standardised termination fees apply:

More than 60 days before departure:
€250 per person deposit.

60–31 days before departure:
50% of the total package price.

30–15 days before departure:
75% of the total package price.

14 days or less before departure, including failure to travel:
100% of the total package price.

These standardised termination fees are based on the expected costs and savings associated with cancellation and the ability to resell or redeploy the travel services.

At the traveller’s request, Leir will provide a statement explaining the basis of the termination fee.

Where a lower termination cost applies under the relevant circumstances, the traveller will not be charged more than an appropriate and justifiable amount.

Cancellation notice

Cancellation must be received by Leir in writing, by email or another agreed durable medium.

The cancellation date will be the date on which Leir receives the cancellation notice.

As Leir do not offer cancellation insurance, it is recommended that the traveller obtains specific cancellation insurance separately

11. Cancellation Because of Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances

A traveller has the statutory right to terminate the package without paying a termination fee where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the destination or its immediate vicinity significantly affect the performance of the package or significantly affect the carriage of passengers to the destination.

In such circumstances, the traveller is entitled to a full refund of payments made for the package, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of termination.

No additional compensation is payable where the package is terminated on this basis.

12. Transfer of a Booking

A traveller may transfer the package to another person who satisfies all conditions applicable to the package, subject to reasonable notice and any actual additional costs arising from the transfer.

Requests for transfers should be made to Leir as early as possible and, where reasonably possible, at least 7 days before departure.

Transfer arrangements are subject to airline, accommodation, insurance and other supplier requirements.

The original traveller and the replacement traveller may be jointly responsible for the balance of the package price and any additional costs arising from the transfer, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Changes by Leir Before Departure

Leir may make minor changes to the package where reasonably necessary.

If Leir is required to make a significant change to an essential element of the package, or cannot fulfil an agreed special requirement accepted by Leir, the traveller will be informed and given the statutory options available under Irish package-travel legislation.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include:

accepting the proposed change;
accepting a suitable substitute package; or
terminating the contract without a termination fee and receiving the refund to which the traveller is legally entitled.

Where a substitute package is of lower quality or cost, an appropriate price reduction will be provided where required.

14. Cancellation by Leir

Leir may cancel the package where permitted by law, including where a stated minimum number of participants is not reached, and the minimum number required has been set at 10 participants excluding Leir accompanying staff.

For a package lasting between two and six days, where cancellation is permitted because the minimum number has not been reached, Leir will notify affected travellers within the applicable statutory timeframe.

Leir may also cancel where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent the proper performance of the package.

Where Leir cancels the package before departure in circumstances giving rise to a statutory refund, all payments due for refund will be reimbursed without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days.

Where cancellation occurs because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, additional compensation will not be payable where the law provides an exception.

15. Performance of the Package

Leir is responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the package, irrespective of whether those services are provided directly by Leir or by third-party suppliers.

If a significant proportion of the contracted services cannot be provided as agreed after departure, Leir will make suitable alternative arrangements, and where possible, at no additional cost to the traveller.

Where appropriate, travellers may be entitled to a price reduction or compensation in accordance with Irish package-travel law.

16. Assistance to Travellers

Leir will provide appropriate assistance without undue delay to a traveller in difficulty, including appropriate information about health services, local authorities and consular assistance and, where appropriate, assistance with communications or alternative travel arrangements.

Where a traveller causes the difficulty intentionally or through negligence, Leir may charge a reasonable fee for assistance, limited to the actual costs incurred.

17. Complaints

Travellers should notify Leir and the relevant local supplier of any problem or failure in the performance of the package as soon as reasonably possible while the problem is occurring.

Early notification gives Leir the best opportunity to investigate and correct the problem during the trip.

Where a satisfactory solution cannot be reached locally, the complaint should also be submitted to Leir in writing as soon as possible after returning home.

These Terms will not shorten any statutory complaint or claim period applicable to the package

For this package, complaints relating to non-performance or inadequate performance should be submitted within 28 days of completion of the package, without prejudice to any longer period or other rights provided by law.

18. Travel Insurance

Where travel insurance is expressly included in the package, cover is provided subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations of the applicable insurance policy.

Leir is not the insurer and cannot alter or waive an insurer’s policy terms.

Travellers are responsible for reading the policy documentation and checking that the cover meets their individual circumstances.

Travel insurance does not automatically cover every reason for cancellation. Travellers should check cancellation, medical, baggage, delay and repatriation provisions carefully.

19. Passports, Visas and Health Requirements

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid travel documentation and meet any passport, visa, immigration, health or entry requirements applicable to their nationality and circumstances.

Requirements can change, so travellers should check current official requirements before travelling.

Leir will provide general information relevant to the package but cannot accept responsibility for a traveller being unable to travel because they do not hold the required documentation or permissions.

20. Special Requirements and Reduced Mobility

Travellers should inform Leir of any special requirements, dietary requirements, mobility limitations, medical considerations relevant to the travel arrangements, or other assistance needs before booking.

Leir will consider such requirements and will confirm in writing any special requirement that it accepts as part of the package contract.

The suitability of accommodation, coach transport, walking tours and excursions may vary. Travellers who require particular accessibility arrangements should contact Leir before booking so Leir can provide precise information.

21. Traveller Conduct

Travellers are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully towards other members of the group, Leir staff, accommodation providers, transport providers and local communities.

A traveller may be responsible for additional costs or damage caused by their deliberate, unlawful or negligent actions.

Where a traveller’s behaviour seriously endangers the health, safety or well-being of others or materially disrupts the package, Leir may take appropriate action, including requiring the traveller to leave an accommodation or activity, where permitted by law.

Any such decision will be made proportionately and in light of the circumstances.

22. Personal Belongings

Travellers are responsible for their personal belongings, travel documents, money and valuables.

Leir cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability arises under applicable law.

Travellers should use accommodation safes where available and take appropriate precautions.

23. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Leir’s responsibility for the proper performance of the package is subject to the rights and remedies provided by Irish package-travel legislation and other applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms affects rights relating to death or personal injury caused unlawfully, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

24. Data Protection

Leir will process personal information provided in connection with the booking for the purposes of arranging and administering the package, making travel and accommodation reservations, providing travel insurance where applicable, communicating with travellers and meeting legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal information may need to be shared with airlines, accommodation providers, transport companies, insurers, guides and other suppliers involved in delivering the package.

Leir’s Privacy Notice provides further information about how personal data is processed and protected.

25. Website and Promotional Information

Leir takes reasonable care to ensure that information contained in its website, brochures and promotional material is accurate at the time of publication.

Some elements, including flight times, accommodation, Christmas events, market arrangements, attraction availability and itinerary timings, may be subject to confirmation or change by third parties.

The final booking confirmation and package travel contract take precedence over general promotional information where a later confirmed change has been properly notified to the traveller in accordance with the law.

26. Governing Law

These Terms and the package travel contract are governed by the laws of Ireland, except where mandatory consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.

Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory rights available to them under applicable Irish or EU consumer-protection law.
